In the fall of 2000, at their Annual General Meeting held in Palermo, Sicily, The Mediterranean Garden Society decided to host this site in order to ensure its continuation, and to more fully develop their own web site. Both sites are seen to serve their membership. Being international in its membership, a presence on the Internet helps to bring the various Branches together as well as introduce the Society to those who have not yet found it.
