genera

A taxonimic ranking: Domain; Kingdom; Phylum; Class; Order; Family; Genus (plural: genera); species; subspecies; — the next taxonomic level above species, and therefore the first grouping of related species.  A genus is always capitalized.

From the Latin glaber, meaning smooth, bald — a surface either totally or relatively devoid of hairs.

glaucous

From the Latin glaucous, meaning bluish-grey or bluish-green, from the Greek glaukos, used to describe the pale grey or bluish-green appearance of the surfaces of some plants.

gynoecium

The pistils of a flower considered as a group.
